As I'm based in the heart of the Lake District it seems only logical to specialise in taking photos of the environment. View thousands of images collated over more than 20 years as a professional landscape photographer. Centring on the Lake District, as well as covering the UK and Europe, there is a great diversity to choose from. They are available to buy as prints, canvases or digital formats for commercial use.
I offer product, social media and event photography and as I'm based in the heart of the Lake District, I naturally specialise in taking images in the environment. Giving your brand the chance to be partnered with a UNESCO Heritage backdrop.
From introductory to advanced courses, I offer landscape, macro, stellar, wedding and many more courses in specialised areas, as well as the foundations in the introductory courses.
If you’re looking for a family portrait in the place you love or want to record the cherished moments in your life and family before time wanders on. Or want to capture you in a work of art reflecting the soul within then I can deliver.
A short film for your business can say so much more than a brochure or line after line of text. A simple way to take your business and its web site to a new league of professionalism at a reasonable cost.
I’m a Cumbria-based videographer and photographer, working across the Lake District and beyond with charities, community organisations, and public sector partners.
Most of my work is about telling real stories — capturing projects, people, and places in a way that feels honest and accessible. That might be a short film to showcase a funded project, photography for a community initiative, or drone footage to give a different perspective on a place.
I’ve worked with organisations across Cumbria on projects that range from small, local activities through to larger programmes with regional impact. A lot of that work involves spending time with people, understanding what matters to them, and then translating that into something visual that others can connect with.
I aim to keep things straightforward — both in how I work and in the final output. The focus is always on producing something that is useful, watchable, and genuinely reflects the work being done.
A lot of the projects I’m involved in require a level of sensitivity — whether that’s working with vulnerable groups, capturing personal stories, or simply making people feel comfortable on camera.
I take a flexible approach to filming and photography, adapting to the setting rather than trying to control it. That usually means keeping equipment light, working around what’s happening naturally, and taking the time to get things right without making it feel staged.
I’m also AudHD, which tends to shape how I approach projects — particularly in terms of communication, attention to detail, and creating a working environment that feels calm and manageable for everyone involved.
I’m happy to travel further depending on the project.
If you’ve got a project you’d like to discuss — whether it’s fully formed or just an idea — feel free to get in touch.
I’m always happy to have an initial conversation and see if I can help.
